Hip! Hip! Hooray! Drupal is turning its 14th milestone today! First released on January 15, 2001, the software has grown to become the world’s most advanced and robust CMS, powering nearly 8% of the Web. And if you’ve been around the Internet for very long, you know that 14 years at the Web is like a billion years in the real world.

The Drupal 14th birthday is being celebrated all around the globe. Meet-ups are being organized everywhere with everyone having anything to do with the platform is sharing his or her experience with it.

There’s no shadow of a doubt, Drupal has a bright future. It has its detractors, but remember there are two types of CMS platforms: those which people complain about and those which no one uses.

So, happy birthday Drupal! Let’s hope you’re around for another couple of years, OK?

P.S. Seems tempting enough to become a part of Drupal glory, isn’t it? If you are looking to switch from your current website to Drupal on your own – it would be good idea to make use of CMS2CMS automated migration service.
