Notes (migration from HTML)

Migration setup allows selecting the way you would like to migrate pages (e.g., to pages or posts).

HTML web page contains meta tags which provide metadata of that page. The importance of meta tags is that the search engines read them to compare if these keywords and the description are related to the visible content. Choosing the option “Migrate Meta Data” in the migration wizard, your metadata stored in the following meta tags Title text here, , will be migrated from your Existing HTML site to the New CMS.

While migrating from HTML website, the pages and posts are identified as the same entity.

It is possible to migrate only blog posts from your HTML website if you create the sitemap with blog posts in it.

When migrating from your Existing CMS to Joomla with "301 Redirects from old URLs to new URLs" additional option included, please, install ReDJ extension to your new Joomla site in advance. (If you use other redirection plugins, please, contact us).

In order to migrate comments from your Existing CMS to Joomla, please install JComments extension to your New Joomla site in advance.

Additional Options
Migrate images / attachments to content body ?This option allows to transfer your images and attachments (such as PDF, MP3, CVS, TXT files, etc.) from posts/articles to the new website.
301 Redirects from old URLs to new URLs ?Creating permanent 301 redirects for your Articles/Posts/Pages URLs.
Example. A visitor/search engine bot trying to access your website old URL will be automatically taken to the new one, which is the best practice to preserve your traffic and SEO after migration.
Insurance migration restart during 7 days ?This option allows to restart migration during the specified period of time.
Insurance migration restart during 14 days ?This option allows to restart migration during the specified period of time.
Insurance migration restart during 30 days ?This option allows to restart migration during the specified period of time.
Set first image as featured ?By choosing this option, the first image in the content body of a page automatically becomes featured image for that particular page.
